SACO - Andre "Leopold" Angers, 74, of Windy Point Lane, died Tuesday at The Renaissance in Biddeford. He was born March 20, 1927, in Biddeford, a son of Paul and Melanie Roy Angers, and graduated from Biddeford High School. Mr. Angers was a U.S. Army Veteran, serviving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Saco Lowell Shops for 17 years and woked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 30 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Angers loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and took on many projects for the family. He enloyed wintering in Florida, and was a member of the American Legion and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Mr. Angers was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Doris Goulet Angers; a son, Richard L. of Biddeford; two daughters, Susan D. Landry of North Berwick and Claudette T. Guerin of Limerick; three brothers, Gildas of Vallejo, CA, and Gabriel and Laurien, both of Biddeford; two sisters, Arlene Doyon of Biddeford and Rita Boissonnette of Saco; three grandchildren, two step grandchildren; one great grandson, five step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
