Mr. Alonzo was born January 22, 1920 in Wick, West Virginia, the son of Alonze E. and Laura Smith Ankrom, Sr. coming to this area in the 1950's.
He had been employed as an orderly at St.Elizabeth hospital 10 years and was a free lance jeweler and had also worked for Gray Drugs.
His wife, the former Edith Ann Moore, whom he married September 18, 1954, died September 2, 1999.
He leaves two daughters, Nancy L. Card and Candace M. Ankrom, both of Austintown. Three sons, Thomas D. Ankrom of Canfield, James A. Ankrom of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Robert L. Ankrom of Austintown. One sister, Thelma Ankrom of West Virginia, 6 grand-children and one great-grandchild.
A sister, Olive Tuel and a brother, Ralph Ankrom are deceased.
