He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Parkersburg, the son of the late Guy W. and Lulu G. Kelley Ankrom. He was a mechanic by trade and worked at Keith Brothers in Harrisville, Dils Ford and Action Crash in Parkersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wade Ankrom; four sons, Wayne Ankrom of Pennsboro, W.Va., Donald Ankrom of Franklin, Tenn., Bobby Goudy and Patrick Ankrom of Parkersburg; two daughters, Cheryl Yoak and her husband, Curtis, of Mannington, W.Va., and Jennifer Harlow and her husband, Richard, of Mineral Wells; and four grandchildren, LaTrisha and Dakota Yoak of Mannington, and Alex VanSkiver and Emily Harlow of Mineral Wells.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Naomi McNally.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Ron Hendershot officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
