Memorial service for V. Dewey Annakin, Ph D., 83, who died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday will be 2 p.m. August 20 at the Maple Avenue Methodist Church. He was formerly dean of men and professor of sociology at ISU, from 1926 until 1965; a two-term Indiana State senator from district which included Vigo County; a veteran of WWI; a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church. Survivors include; his wife, Helen, one son, Joseph, Evansville; two daughters, Dorothy Johnson, Toledo, Ohio; Virginia Stutch, Terre Haute; two sisters, Ester Burt, Phoenix, Ariz.; Cloe Smith, Terre Haute; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
