Glenda Thompson Anouilh, 64, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Mrs. Anouilh was born on June 28, 1950 in Santa Anna, California to the late Blaine and Edith Thompson.

Glenda worked for Horace Mann Insurance Company as office manager. She was an active member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and she also enjoyed teaching an art class at the church. One of Glenda’s favorite quotes was “Love is worth knowing someone. Worth taking the risk.”

She is survived by her husband, John A. Anouilh of the home; daughters, Kathleen Tankersley and husband Charlie of Check VA, Christine Anouilh and husband Brian Hundley of Murrells Inlet, SC; son, Jeffrey Anouilh and wife Elfriede of Arlington, VA; half- sister, Debbie Boyd of Bassett; half-brother, Danny Thompson and wife Debbie of Randleman, NC; grandchildren, Sarah Anouilh, Audrey Hundley and Jack Hundley.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at McCabe Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. G.H. Vaughan officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel.
