Kenneth R. Terry, 85, of Scotch
Plains died on Monday, February 20,
at his home.
Born in Scotch Plains, he had lived
in Westfield for many years before
moving back to Scotch Plains many
years ago.
Mr. Terry had worked as a salesman
for several trucking companies
throughout New Jersey, retiring in
1983.
He was a United States Army veteran,
having served as a medic in the
Philippines during World War II, and
was a member of American Legion
Martin Wallberg Post No. 3 in
Westfield.
He was predeceased by a brother,
William Terry.
Surviving is a brother, Edward Terry
of Mountainside.
Funeral services were held yesterday,
Wednesday, February 22, at the
Gray Funeral Home, 318 East Broad
Street in Westfield. Interment followed
at Fairview Cemetery in
Westfield.

died on Saturday, February 11, at
Overlook Hospital in Summit.
Born in Newark, he had lived in
Madison for 40 years before moving
to Whiting. He lived in Westfield for
the past 12 years.
Mr. Apgar had been a zoning officer
for Passaic Township in
Millington for five years prior to retiring
in 1987.
He was a United States Navy veteran
of World War II and a member of
The Presbyterian Church in Westfield.
He was predeceased by his wife,
Henrietta H. Apgar, in 1997.
Surviving are a son, John D. Apgar
of Gaithersburg, Md.; three daughters,
Joyce Luy of Ellicott City, Md.,
Joanne Ketch of Spring, Tex. and
Janice A. Wyckoff of Rahway; a sister,
Joyce Williams of Vermont; eight
grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at
noon on Saturday, March 4, in the
Chapel of The Presbyterian Church
in Westfield. Burial of cremains will
follow in the Revolutionary Cemetery
in Westfield.
Arrangements are by the Gray Funeral
Home, 318 East Broad Street in
Westfield.
