Sand Springs, Oklahoma
Funeral services for Edna Elizabeth Applegate, 80, of Sand Springs will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of God with Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Memorial Park under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service. Mrs. Applegate died on July 13, 1988 in Tulsa. She was born on August 3, 1907 in Marble, Arkansas. She was a retired office clerk for Water District 14 and a member of Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, on March 5, 1972. She is survived by her son, Leon Applegate of Sand Springs; her daughter, Opal Matthews of Sand Springs; two brothers, Tom Williams and Grady Williams, both of Sand Springs; two sisters, Lona Blanchard of Orange Cove, California and Girtha McConnell of Sand Springs; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
