Mrs. Annie Applegate 819 East 23rd, died Wednesday night in a local hospital. She was born at Gohsell, Kansas. and came to Inola in 1914 and to Okmulgee in 1919. She worked in the Dahl Laundry for 20 years, when she fell and broke her hip and retired in 1941 ( it looks like 1941...it is faded)
She was a member of the Mennonite Church in Inola.
Surving are a son Jack Applegate of the home, a brother, Jake Gueritzen and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Schroder and Mrs. Martha Hiebert of Newton,Kansas.. and another sister Mrs. Katharyn Unruh of Coffeyville, Kansas. A nephew John Dahl lives at 914 South Wood drive.
Funeral services are set for 10 am saturday in Buchanan funeral Home chapel with the interment in Okmulgee Cemetery.
