Bobby L. Applegate age 74, passed this life on Sunday, March 27, 2011 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 11, 1937 in Wagoner County to his parents Elmer Applegate and Georgia (Dotson) Applegate. At an early age Bobby was disabled, but he did not let that hold him back. He was very talented in playing the fiddle and harmonica. Bobby loved Christmas time and to him he believed Christmas should have been all year around and so he made it that way he would start Christmas in October. Bobby was a kind and gentle hearted man, he knew everyone and everyone was his friend, he didn't have one enemy. He loved to dance and make his family and friends laugh, he was known as the entertainer of the family. When he wasn't playing music Bobby enjoyed sitting down and coloring in his books as a past time. Bobby loved his two baby puppies; Bella and Chink. He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Georgia Applegate and two brother's Junior and Leo Applegate. Bobby is survived by his two sister's Bernice Borja (Mimi) and her husband Louie (Daddy) of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Peggy Morris and the late Carl Morris of Mannford, Oklahoma. Seven brothers Carroll Applegate and his wife Marcia of Inola, Oklahoma, Ted Applegate and his wife Charlene of Inola, Oklahoma, Clifford Applegate and Joan of Claremore, Oklahoma, Jay Applegate and wife Linda Diacon-Applegate of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Armondo Borja and wife Holly of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Josh Borja of Wagoner and Rodney Rodriquez of Wagoner, Sister-in-law; Barbara Kitchen of Inola, Oklahoma along with several nieces, nephews and close friends who are sure to miss him dearly. Funeral services for Bobby were held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steven Smith officiating. Burial followed at the Highland Cemetery in Inola, Oklahoma. Services were under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory, Wagoner, OK
