MRS. MARIE STERNER CALLED BY DEATH
Following a lingering illness Mrs. Marie C. Sterner, wife of E. Sterner, passed away at 8 o'clock this morning at the home, 170 W. North street. She has suffered from a complication of diseases for the past year and during the past month has failed rapidly.
Marie Applegren was born in Sweden September 27, 1882, and when a young girl came to America. She joined her brothers, who are living in Galesburg and since that time has made her home here. Her marriage to Mr. Sterner took place June 14, 1900. She was a member of the Christian Science church.
There are left to mourn her husband and two daughters, Esther and Edith, both living at home. In addition her mother, Mrs. Marie Applegren, a brother, Swan and a sister, Mrs. Anna Anderson, of Sweden, survive her, besides four brothers, Frank, Nels, Carl and Emil, all of Galesburg and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Johnson and Mrs. Hannah Johnson of East Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, at the home. Mrs. R.O. Rice, first reader of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, will be in charge of the services.

FUNERAL OF MRS. STERNER
Friends assembled at 2'clock this afternoon to attend the funeral services of Mrs. Marie Sterner, which were held at the home, 170 West North street. The services were in charge of Mrs. R.C. Rice, first reader of the Church of Christ, Scientist. The singing was by Clarence Johnson.
These friends served as the pallbearers: Messrs. R.C. Rice, William White, Charlie O'Neil, Axel Peterson, F.J. Faust and Elias Hallengren. She was laid to rest in the Hope Cemetery.
