Otto F. Appelgren, 97, Cherry Valley died 4 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 1963, in Cherry Valley Nursing Home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 30, 1865, in Westergotland, Sweden. Lived 60 years in Rockford, coming here from Sweden. Married the former Emma Johnson in Rockford, March 17, 1922. She died Nov. 4, 1935. Survivors include: one nephew, Richard Appelgren, Rockford; two nieces, Mrs. Agnes Elofson, Rockford, and Mrs. Hilda Paul, Morton Grove.

Graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in Scandinavian Cemetery.
