SALEM - Teresa Lynne Allison, 70, of Salem passed away on Thursday, September 29th from melanoma cancer. She was born from Nellie and Herbert R. Archibald on July 1, 1941 in Kalispell, MT. Teresa graduated from Kalispell high in 1959 and attended the University of Montana. In 1968, she married Philip Cook and they moved to Polson, MT.

She later lived in Spokane, WA and Cheney, WA before marrying her high school sweetheart, John Allison, 40 years after they first dated. Teresa and John lived in Gig Harbor, WA and later in Salem Oregon. John preceded Teresa in death in 2007 .

Teresa was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church in Salem. She loved to play bridge and was an avid reader but mostly enjoyed being 'Nana' and spending time with her family and friends. Teresa was always a positive, warm and welcoming person and she made instant friends wherever she was. She made a difference in the lives of everyone who knew her and she will be dearly missed..

She is survived by two daughters: Susan P. Cook of Salem, OR and Stacia A. Hagel of Springfield OR, and a brother: Harold Archibald of Steilacoom, WA. A sister Ellen Joyce, died in 1962.

She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Kevin, Jabon, and Lian Hagel and Patrick and Anna Emerson. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the Humane Society of Salem.

A memorial will honor the life of Teresa on Monday, October 10th at 1:30 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Salem, OR. A reception will follow.
