David Arlen Sr. of Linn, passed away Wednesday August 24, 2011 at his residence.

David was born May 10, 1946 in Keene N.H. a son of the late George P. Arlen, who preceded him in death November 1979. and Eugenia (Whitney) Arlen who survives in linn.
On November 1, 1969 David was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Bowen in Linn, She preceded him in death on March 13, 1999.

David had been employed at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City as the Housekeeping Supervisior for 23 years until his retirement in 2001.


David had lived in Linn most of his life and recently had been living with his adopted granddaughter, Brandy her husband Rick and their three children, Barbara Ann, Ricky Jr, and Kenneth. They shared his life and his love,.

David enjoyed his life and his family. He also loved to cook, sew , canning vegetables, and working on demolition cars. Country music was his favorite.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by; seven sons, David Arlen Jr of Marlow, N.H. Dale BrownOF Spofford N.H.. Keith Brown of Argyle, Jimmy Brown of Linn, Robert Brown of St Louis, and David Backmonand Joel Backmon, both of Vermont; eight daughters, Tasha Arlen of Sullivan N.H. Jeneva Arlen of Chamois, Angela Fletcher and Sharon DiMatteo, both of Vermont, and Brandy Mueller of Linn; Dee Shoults of Russellville, Kim Hawkins of Holts Summit and Connie Gibson of Linn. four brothers, George Arlen of Linn, Steven Arlen of Loose Creek. Barry Arlen and Darrell Arlen of Sullivan N.H. two sisters, Lisa Beaulieu and Leanna Chambers of Linn. one brotherinlaw, Edward Keller of Sullivan N.H.along with many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends

In addition to his father and wife, David was preceded in death by; one son, Neil Brown; one daughter Kelly Pinney; one brother, Gregory Brown; one sister, Patricia Keller, and granddaughter, Selena Mueller.

Visitation will ne held from 4-8p.m. on Monday August 30, 2011 at Morton Chapel. Interment will follow at Useful Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family..
