Virginia K Armbruster, of Sisters, died Wednesday. She was 84.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. April 28 at Mapleton Evangelical Church.

Mrs. Armbruster was born May 13, 1922, in Guernsey, Wyo., to Earl and Grace (Pulver) McAdams. She graduated from high school in Redding, Calif. She married Hubert Armbruster on June 6, 1941, in Summit City, Calif. Mrs. Armbruster worked as a secretary for Mapleton High School for 26 years. She was a member of Mapleton Evangelical Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed opera and reading.

Survivors include three sons, Earl, Tim, , and Bret, a brother, Earl McAdams, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
