Abigail was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Morey Woodworth of Berkshire. One day Abigail went to the well to get a pail of water. Along came a stranger who stopped and asked for a drink. That man was Williams Arms, whom she later married.

They were the parents of Sally Lemira, Nahum, Pruella Diadaima (1816), William Gardner (1818), John Riley (1820), Arnold (1822), George Washington (1824), and Mory (1827) Arms.

The old orchard at their home was trouble with apple theives. Abigail went out one day to see and found a man filling his pockets with apples. She grabbed him by the back of his vest and tore a piece from it. When she was 80 years old she rode a horse up to the pinnacle of a mountain near them, then walked back down assisted by her sons.

The last 10 years of Abigails life were spent in a rocking chair because of a broken hip.

INSCRIPTION: In memory of Abigail Woodworth wife of William Arms Died Dec 28, 1875 in the 91st year of her age. Yet again we hope to meet thee, when the day of life is fled. There in Heaven with joy to greet thee, where no farewell tear is shed.
