Her birth year was more likely 1873, as she was listed as age 7 on the 1880 US census and age 12 on the 1885 Florida state census, both in Hernando County. Her DOB ranges from 1870 to 1875 on various records after that.
The attached newspaper obituary states that she was a native of New Orleans which is incorrect, she lived with her son there for several years but she was born in Florida.
