Eleanor H. Adamson, 96, of Mars, formerly of Harmar, died Monday (Nov. 3, 2003) in St. John Lutheran Care Center, where she lived for four years.

Born April 1, 1907, in Cheswick, she lived in Harmar most of her life.

Mrs. Adamson was a member of Cheswick Presbyterian Church, the Lower Valley Senior Citizens and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Jack W. (Judy) Adamson of Harmar and William (Gerry) McGowan of Houston, Texas; and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two granddaughters, Wendy Hensel of Swissvale and Karen Copetas of Mt. Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Adamson; and her parents, Frank and Clara Pugh Armstrong.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in CHESWICK at CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Hendrick Bossers will officiate. Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar.
