GILMER — Funeral services for Billy Bob Armstrong, 86, of Ore City, will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Upshur County, with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Interment will be in the Ore City Cemetery in Ore City. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Armstrong passed away Friday, July 25, 2014, in Gilmer.
Mr. Armstrong was born December 1, 1927, in Ore City, to Everett and Lois Atkins Armstrong. He was a lifetime resident of Upshur County and a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sisters, Mildred Andrews of Ore City, Lorene Mangram of Maud, Terry Willis of Dallas, Nell Armstrong of Dallas and Clarine Armstrong of Longview.
Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Lois Armstrong.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Lee Clawson, Paul Hancock, Gary Andrews, Bobby Livingston, Pat Sperier, James Andrews and Bobby Joe Clawson.
No formal visitation is scheduled.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
