Daughter of William and Ann Hunter of Albemarle County, Virginia;

Granddaughter of James and Cynthia Hunter, he originally from Scotland;

Sister of William, Sarah, George, Albert, Maria, Mary and John Hunter;

Beloved Wife of William Armstrong of Little Calf Pasture, Augusta County, Virginia, whom she married on 19 August 1867 in Albemarle County, Virginia.

Cynthia and William are the parents of three daughters, Alberta, Hannah Elizabeth and Iva Armstrong. Sadly, Hannah Elizabeth died when she was only one year old.

In 1881, Cynthia and William and their two daughters moved across the country to Orange County, California, joining many other Armstrong, Wallace, McCutcheon and Firebaugh family members. They lived for some time in Long Beach, California.

Cynthia and William were able to see both of their daughters married and raising children. Daughter Alberta married Martin Reid Urton and gave Cynthia and William six Grandchildren; Daughter Iva married Charles Milan Miller, a School Teacher from Canada, and gave Cynthia and William two more Grandchildren.

Cynthia became a widow when husband William passed away in 1904; She passed away a few years later, in 1907.

Cynthia Alberta Hunter Armstrong is buried beside her husband at Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles, California; when I called the cemetery, a caring staff member told me where they were both buried, and I then placed a photo request. Unfortunately, there are no headstone markers; the findagrave volunteer photographer was kind enough to photograph the plot; even without the markers, we are pleased to know just where they are resting.....and we are grateful.

Cynthia is fondly remembered by all of the families and friends who knew and loved her.
