DOROTHY A. ANDERS (NEE ARNDT) Age 72 of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at the VNA Hospice Center. She was born October 9, 1932 in San Pierre, Indiana the daughter of George and Bertha (Doms) Arndt. Dorothy worked at Harvey's Dime Store, was a cook at Valparaiso University and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. On November 27, 1965 she married Vernon Anders who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving are 3 children, Karen (Monty) Pilkington of Lawhead, GA., Allan Anders of Valparaiso and Diane (Cory) MacNoughton of Lafayette; 2 granddaughters, a grandson and 1 great grandson; five brothers, Roy, George, Robert, Tom, and David; and 1 sister, Mildred O' Brien also survive her. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Brenda Ludwig officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2005, 3-7 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe, Valparaiso. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Horton Hospice Center, 501 Marquette Street, Valparaiso, IN 46383 or to the First United Methodist Church of Valparaiso, 103 N. Franklin St., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
