Mollie A. Allison, 93, formerly of Enka, went to be with her Lord Thursday, January 12, 2006.

A native of Newport, TN, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Lily Arrington and was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carl G. Allison, who died in 1981, three sons, Jackie Donald, Lloyd Reginald, and Kenneth Darrell Allison, and her sister, Hallie Wilkie.

Mrs. Allison was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and she was a member of Enka Baptist Church where she taught the Lydia Sunday School class. Her church was very important to her. The members of Enka Baptist have seen her family through good times and bad. They were always with her.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Hallie and Duane Morgan; three grandchildren, Allison Warren, Heather Clark and Scott Morgan, and six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Camille, Josh, Justin, Taylor, Kelsey and Robert.

Mollie had many friends, and among the closest are Susan Campbell, Ralph Smith and Gerry Brooks.

Mollie was a friend to all. Her door on Orchard Street was always open. Her heart was big and she was always there to listen. She lived her life walking with God. She always said "You don't take anything with you when you leave this world except what you give away." Mollie kept the faith; she passed her life test; she fought the fight and now she is at peace with God.

Burial will follow at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
