Mrs. Edna Frances Alley, 83,of Augusta Ga. died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Gordon, Ga.

The funeral will be at at New Hope Church of God, Grovetown, with the Revs. Rich Bowen and Brian Cockrell officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Westover Memorial Park.


Mrs. Alley, a native of Matthews, Ga., was a homemaker. She was a 55-year member of New Hope Church of God, where she led the Tuesday morning prayer services and had taught the Rebecca Sunshine Sunday School Class for 40 years. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary, the church choir and the Nursing Home Visitation Program.

Survivors include a son, Kelly M. Alley Jr., Augusta; two daughters, Marvena A. Woolsey, Hephzibah, and Faye Stewart, Portsmouth, Ohio; two brothers, Luther Arrington, Matthews, and Earl Arrington, Thomson; a sister, Ella Overstreet, Rincon, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be deacons of New Hope Church of God.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the church and members of the Rebecca Sunshine Sunday School Class.

Memorials may be made to the New Hope Church of God Building Program, 715 Old Belair Road, Grovetown, GA 30813.
