Brewster standard- July 12, 1979: Arthur Thomas Ashby, 59, of Tonetta Lake Park, Brewster, husband of Charlotte Cipriani Ashby, died yesterday in Carmel, N.Y.He was born in North Salem, Nov. 30,1920, son of the late Albert and Edith Ashby. Mr. Ashby was a well-driller, working for P.F. Beal and Co., Brewster. During World War II he served with the Arrowhead Division in the African, European and Middle Eastern theaters. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Arthur Thomas Ashby Jr. of Brewster; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Casey of Stormville; 3 sisters and a grandchild.
