Beatrice B. Ashby, 92, of Baldwinsville died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at Syracuse Home Assoc., Baldwinsville. She was born in Williamsport, PA, lived in Syracuse many years before moving to Baldwinsville in 1941. She was an active member of the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She retired in 1957 from Marsellus Casket Company after 27 years. She owned and operated Ashby Oil Service from 1957-1973 with her husband, Earl B. Ashby, who passed away in 1974. She taught Rug Hooking for over 40 years and was a member of the Pearl McGowan Rug Crafting Guild Local Chapter #33 and National. She belonged to the Woman's Society of the Methodist Church and was also a member of the Baldwinsville Grange.

Survivors: 1 brother, Robert Bloom, Sr. of Baldwinsville; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; several step-grandchildren.

Services: 11:00 am Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church, Baldwinsville. Spring burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. No calling hours. Arrangements by Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville.
