72, of Ashby Drive, Phoenix, NY, died Monday, June 9, 2008. Born in Fulton to his late parents Ashton and Hilda (Jackson) Ashby, he was an owner/operator of Ashby's Sunoco Station, Phoenix. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan T. (Haynes) Ashby, in 1999; his brothers, Richard and Frank; and his sisters Lois, Katie and Winnie. Surviving are his sons, Alfie (Rosie) Ashby of Phoenix, Mike (Kim) Ashby of Clay and Bill (Danielle) Ashby of Phoenix; his daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Ray and Donna (Kevin) Lamson, all of Baldwinsville; brothers, John and George Ashby of Phoenix; sisters, Charlotte Barryman of MN and Lillian Murray of Fulton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, with the Rev. Bruce Bardon officiating.
