Carol Allen, 55, of St. Augustine, Fla., died Saturday Oct. 29, 2005 at Shands at AGH in Gainesville, Fla.

A native of Metter, she lived in St. Augustine, moving from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Ashe.

Survivors include her children, James Brian Gregg and John David Gregg, both of Cleveland, Patricia Ann Allen, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jesse Michael Allen, Miami; mother, Willie Pearl Ashe-Martin, East Palatka, Fla.; sisters, Retta Chavis, Melbourne, Fla., Linda Messina, Orange Park, Fla., and Beverly Tomasovitch, St. Augustine, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home. Brother C.L. Overturf will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Palatka, Fla.
