Charles Ashfield Taken by Death
Charles Ashfield, 75, former Des Moines resident, died at the Pleasantville hospital Wednesday after a three-day illness of pneumonia. He was employed by the White Line Transfer Co. here for many years until about 23 years ago when he went to Sandyville, la. He was employed as caretaker for the Beach Lake Rod and Gun club near there when taken ill. Services will be at the grave in Sandyville cemetery at 12:30 p. m. Friday.
