Mrs. Beatrice Cohea Ashmore, 95, of Grenada, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at her daughter’s residence in Walthall. She was born January 9, 1921 in Calhoun County to William Coleman and Eugenia Powell Cohea. She was a member of the Rosebloom Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Ashmore had worked in food service for many years and had a passion for baking and quilting.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2016 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Jerry Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time Monday at the funeral home.

She is survived by one daughter Donna June Stewart(Jimmy) of Walthall, one son Henry Ashmore, Jr.(Deborah) of Topeka, KS., three sisters Tina Marshall of Plano, TX, Bonnie Widmer of Garland, TX, and Margie Burton of New London, WI, four grandchildren Danette Holloway, Crystal Chapman, Candi Beeson and Casey Brewster, and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry D. Ashmore, Sr., two brothers, William Coles Cohea and Joe Cohea, two sisters, Estes Wimberly and Norma Farley and one grandson Christopher Stewart.
