Edna Maye Alloway, 90, Rock Port, Mo., died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Community Hospital, Fairfax, Mo.

Mrs. Alloway was born in Maitland, Mo., on Aug. 27, 1908, to Frank and Viola McIntyre Ashworth. As a young girl she attended the Triumph Country School south of Maitland.

On Jan. 22, 1927, she married Everett Alloway. he died in 1970.

They lived and farmed in the Maitland area before moving to Mound City in 1944, where Everett worked for the Highway Department. They moved to Oregon in 1948.

Following her husband's death, she moved to Tarkio and in in the mid-1970's she moved to Rock Port to be near her son.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Haigler and Dorothy Leavell; and a great-grandson.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Ralph of Rock Port and Robert Lee of Poplar Grove, Ill.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on March 4, 1999, at Minter Funeral Home, Rock Port, Mo., with the Rev. Allan Bash officiating.
