Arthur R. Ashworth, Sr., age 68 of Winchester, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Southern Tennesee Medical Center in Winchester. He was born in Jackson, Michigan and was a truck driver. Mr. Ashworth was a member of the Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Ashworth. Mr. Ashworth is survived by his wife, Patricia Jean Ashworth; sons, Arthur Ashworth, Jr. of Belvidere and Daniel Ashworth of Nashville; daughters, Karen Karr of McMinnville and Angela DeToy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers, Tom and Darrell Ashworth, both of Michigan; sisters, Lena Belle Crum, Fern Martin and Janet Bennett, all of Michigan; eith grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 5 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel. Interment was in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
