Billie M. Asmundson, 89, passed away peacefully to her Lord on August 25, 2004 with her husband, daughter, granddaughter and a pastor friend at her side.
Billie was born on July 11, 1915 in Seattle, WA to William and Frances Rawson. Billie lived there all her life until she and her beloved husband of 60 years moved to Bellingham April 22, 2003. She graduated from Broadway High and worked at Boeing where she met the love of her life, Einar Swain Asmundson. They were married in her mother's home on October 9, 1943. They raised two children William Rawson Asmundson (Coeur d'Alene) and Mary Ann (Ron) Young of Bellingham. Billie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always active, loved to shop, root and attend the Seattle sport teams, play cards, especially bridge, and spend time with her family and friends. She and Einar took many trips and enjoyed traveling and cruises after his retirement in 1976.
Billie is survived by her husband, Einar; son Bill, daughter Mary Ann and husband Ron; six grandchildren AmberYoung of Bellingham, Blake Young (Europe), Dalyce Young of Los Angeles, Paul, Ben, and Joey Asmundson all of Spokane; daughter in law Charmagne (Arne) Woodard of Spokane; numerous nieces and nephews; three sister in laws and two brother in laws.
A memorial and celebration of her life will be Monday August 30, 2004 at 1:00PM in Seattle, WA at the Butterfield-Arthur A Wright Chapel 520 West Raye on Queen Anne Hill. Memorials may be made to Medic One or the charity of your choice.
