Burial was to be in Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Mrs. Aswell died Monday at Glenwood Hospital after a long illness.
She was a member of the Claiborne United Methodist Church of West Monroe and a member of the United Women's Methodist Group.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Aswell of West Monroe and James E. Aswell of Union, New Jersey; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Wallace Wilbanks of West Monroe and Mrs. Mary Ice of Houston, Tex.; one brother, Archie Wilhite of Bastrop; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Lenard of West Monroe, and Mrs. Rose Colon and Mrs. Sadie Haggard, both of Shreveport; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Jimmy Aswell, James G. Aswell, Joel Aswell, Don Ice II, Tommy Dillon, Eugene Ouchley, Mike Wallace and Johnny Aswell.
