Artie became afflicted with an unknown disease. Her body was infested with many worms. As her mother before her, Artie knew she was going to die. While she lay sick in bed, her father Granville came into the room and started to sit down at the foot of the bed. Artie said "Don't do that! I see angels there!" That night she died with her family at her side.
