OBITUARY FOR COSBY ASBURY
Mrs. Cosby Evelyn Atwell Asbury,
88, of Tookland Va., died Friday at
the home of a daughter, Mrs. Bill
Young, following a long illness.
She was the widow of Quincy Asbury,
who died in 1956.
Survivors include one additional
daughter, Mrs. Clyde Conley of Martins-
ville, Va.; two sons, Henry Asbury of
Conaway, Va, and Alvis Asbury of Miami,
Fla.; five brothers, Wint Atwell of
Troutville, Va., Daoe Atwell of Bishop,
Va., Frank Atwell of Bartley, Britt
Atwell of War and Jess Atwell of
Paynesville; 21 grandchildren; 31
great-grandchildren; and nine great-
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted
Sunday at 1 p.m. at Little Prater Church
of Christ with Rev. Michael Trent, Rev.
Clarence Greenleaf and Rev. Charlie
Sublett officiating. Burial will follow
in Hankins Cemetery at Richlands, Va.
The body has been taken to the church
one hour prio to services
Grundy Funeral Home in Grundy, Va.,
is in charge of arrangements.
