Prominent Resident Dead
Yesterday morning at 4:30 o'clock occurred the death of Asher Atwell, a prominent resident of town. Mr. Atwell was 60 years of age and was born and raised in Plymouth. Death was due to chronic bronchitis, from which deceased was ill only a short period. Mr. Atwell made his home with his brother, George Atwell, of Palmer street. He is survived by one son, Charles Atwell, and three daughters, Mrs. William Jenkins, Mrs, John Geist, of Westmoor, and Mrs. William Williams, of this town; also two brothers, Joseph Atwell, of Alden, and George Atwell, of Plymouth. The remains were taken to the home of the deceased's son Charles on Beade street, from where the funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Services will be in charge of Rev. Hickman, pastor of the Elm Hill Church. Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery.
