Mrs. Auchincloss dies after illness
Mrs. Theresa Auchincloss, 97, of 4 1/2 Clinton St., died early Thursday, Aug. 19, 1971, at Potsdam Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Garner Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. F.P. Devan, officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Auchincloss is survived by a sister, Miss Mary C. Regan, who is a patient at the Potsdam Nursing Home; a brother, Michael, Lockport; nieces and nephews.
Born May 25, 1874, in South Colton, a daughter of John and Mary Ward Regan, she was graduated from Potsdam Normal School and taught for years in New York City.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church Altar and Rosary Society.
