Albert Samuel Auden, 87, of Saltsburg, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, in Excela Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born July 5, 1917, in Glen Campbell, a son of Silas and Bella (Ellsmore) Auden.
He lived in Saltsburg most of his life and prior to retirement in 1980, he was employed by Kiski School as a maintenance man. He was a World War II veteran, having served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps. He was also a member of the Saltsburg Senior Citizens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Marie, on Feb. 21, 1989, and two sisters, Dorothy Kennedy and Mildred Berger.

He is survived by two sons, David and his wife, Linda, and Thomas A. and his wife, Carlotta , both of Saltsburg; three sisters, Marian Laughlin and Helen Elko and her husband, Michael, both of Glen Campbell; and Mary Ramaley, Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday at Curran Funeral Home, Saltsburg, with Rev. Rick Helsel officiating. Burial took place in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.
