EDWARD AUGER DIES SUDDENLY AT ALCOA PLANT

Edward Luke Auger, 53, of 35 Howard Street, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at 3:45 at the aluminum plant hospital.

He had been in his usual health and had joked with fellow employees during the day. At about 3 o'clock he complained of being ill and was taken to the plant hospital. Dr. C. E. Elkins, plant physician, assigned a heart condition as the cause of death.

Mr. Auger was born in Canada, September 14, 1888 and came to Massena when he was 15 years old. He had resided at Racket River and Massena since. In 1920 he and Miss Jessie Harmer, Gouverneur were married.

Since 1929 Mr. Auger had been employed as a millwright at the aluminum plant.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Edmund, and a daughter, Agnes, all of Massena and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Besaw, Ithaca; one granddaughter, Patricia Besaw, Ithaca; two brothers, James Auger, Montreal, and Alfred Auger, Winnipeg.
