DIED—In this city May 26th, 1885, Miss Jennie L., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Averil, age 16 years of inflammation and abscesses of the liver.
The deceased had been in poor health for some time, having been confined to her room for 22 weeks at one period during the past year and a half, but she had been much better under her father's skillful treatment until the past six months, during which time she has been steadily on the decline, and finally passed away to the realms above where the weary cease from troubling. The funeral was held on Wednesday after noon from the house, the Rev. E. J. Brownson preaching the funeral sermon. (Brainerd Dispatch, 29 May 1885, p. 3, c. 3) [Contributed by A. Nelson]
