Lee Avery of Crystal was pronounced dead at Carson City Hospital after police and emergency medical workers were called to the lake at roughly 8 p.m. Saturday.
Avery grew up in Crystal, and dedicated more than 30 years to his car shop, Lee's Car Care.
Avery is survived by his wife, two children and four grandchildren.
A public remembrance dinner in Avery’s honor is scheduled Friday, Feb 26 at the Crystal Community Center from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. the next day, also at the community center, with a luncheon to follow.
