"Ellis was the most amazing kid on the planet."
Shelia Avis was jailed for causing extensive injuries to Ellis. As a result of her actions, he was paralyzed from the neck down. Ellis was adopted at the age of 6 months. His injuries were such that he was not expected to live past 6 years old. He died 3 months before his 6th birthday.
