Age 69 of 610 Terry Hill Road, Horseheads, NY. Saturday, June 21, 1997 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Axler was born on September 21, 1927 the son of James and Rose Martinek Axler on his parents' farm on Terry Hill Road where Stanley was a life long resident.

Stanley was a dairy farmer his entire life, a member of the Premysal Otkar in Newfield, NY, and a member of the Czechoslovakian Moravian Club in Endicott, NY. Stanley was a gentle man and gave freely to his family and fellow man.

He is survived by his wife, Olga Haluskova Axler; step-children: Dr. Robert and Kelly Praino, PHD of Montour Falls, NY, Rosemarie Eddy of Watkins Glen, NY, Anne Praino of Horseheads, NY; grandsons: Jason Eddy of Watkins Glen, NY, Matthew Praino of Montour Falls, NY Liam Praino of Montour Falls, NY; granddaughters Vanessa Eddy and Sara Eddy both of Watkins Glen, NY; great-granddaughters: Andrea Eddy and Shannon Eddy both of Watkins Glen, NY; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie Wiererovo and Dr. Antonio Wierer and their children Olga and Sona of The Czech Republic. Several cousins including Mrs. Frances Sullivan and Mr. Franklin Kocourek both of Horseheads, NY.

Friends are invited to call at the VanBuskirk-Lynch Funeral Home, Mill St. and Grand Central Ave., Horseheads, NY. Monday June 23, 1997 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mr. Axlers's Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday June 24, 1997 at 11 AM. Interment in Van Duzer Cemetery, Sullivanville, NY. The family will provide their own flowers and those wishing may remember Mr. Axler through memorials to a charity of ones choice.
