Saline, formerly of Milan and Belleville

Age 82, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, October 10, 2015 at Linden Square Assisted Living in Saline. She was born on September 28, 1933 in Detroit to Lorne and Elsie (Goodall) Ayers. Alice graduated from Belleville High School and then worked as a secretary for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 years of service. While employed at Ford’s Engineering Department in Dearborn she met George Aston and they were married on May 3, 1969 and resided in Dearborn Heights.

Together they travelled extensively, looking at historic steam engine trains and also were charter members of the Detroit Theatre Organ Society (DTOS).
She is survived by her twin sister Audrey Minick of Milan, a sister Barbara Stahl of Livonia, a brother Robert (Elaine) Ayers of Belleville and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband George on March 18, 1988, a sister-in-law Marion Ayers, and two brothers-in-law Fred Stahl and Merlyn Minick.

A graveside service followed by burial will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2015 at Hillside Cemetery in Belleville, Michigan. Because of her love for animals, those desiring may make contributions to the Huron Valley Humane Society, in her memory.
