In Albion, Wis., May 4th, 1865, suddenly, of rheumatic affliction of the heart, Mr. Ellery Babcock, aged 53 years.
Bro. Babcock professed religion in early life, and united with the 2d Seventh-day Baptist Church in Brookfield, Madison Co., N. Y., then under the pastoral care of Eld. Eli S. Bailey, deceased. He moved to Wisconsin about twenty years ago, and settled in the vicinity of Milton, Rock Co., and united with the church in that place. Subsequently, settling in Albion, Dane Co., he united with the church in that place, of which he remained an esteemed and worthy member until death. By this providence, his wife and children, (all of whom he lived to see converted, and consistent members of the Church,) are bereft of a devoted husband, and affectionate father. "Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of Man cometh." J. C. (Courtesy of Erin)
