MADISON - Viola O. Babcock, age 82, died on Wednesday, November 6, 1996 at Maplewood Nursing Home of Sauk Prairie.

She was born on May 7, 1914, to Christain and Sophia (Blumke) Kahl in Verona, Wisconsin. In December of 1932 she married Kenneth A. Babcock. Viola worked as a credit clerk for Firstar Bank.

She is survived by her three children, Ronald (Tammy) Babcock of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Joan (Mark) Babcock-Cooper of Cleveland, Ohio and Carolyn (Eric) Babcock of Westby, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Carla and Ellen Wuennenberg of Westby, Wisconsin, Leonard K (Karen) Babcock of Magnolia, Delaware and Ronna (David) Kline of Utica, Michigan; five step grandchildren, Kristiroese, Ashley, Emiley, Joshua and Michelle; four great grandchildren, Ashley, Melanie, Kasey Lynn and Kenneth; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
