He was a farmer and operated the Bachelder family dairy farm with his wife, Mary, who died April 17, 2008.
He is survived by four sons, George and his wife, Diane, of Pittsfield, Robert of Barnstead, Austin and his wife, Heather, of Memphis, Tenn., and Jason of Inman, S.C.; two daughters, Susan Tiede and her husband, David, of Alton and Anna Bachelder of Holly Springs, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Hiram and his wife, Joan, of Gilmanton and Charles and his wife, Ruth, of Epsom; a sister, Betty Frost and her husband, Henry, of Loudon; and nieces and nephews.
