Alexander "Homie" Bacon, 53, died at his residence in Hinesville.

He was born in Jones to the late Edith Bacon.
Mr. Bacon was educated in the McIntosh County School System. At an early age, he became a member of First African Missionary Baptist Church in Jones. He was employed with A.C. White Moving and Storage Company.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharie Chantel Bailey, and grandson, Reaco Santana Johnson, Jr.; 11 siblings, Shirley Williams, Solomon Bacon, William Bacon, Jesse Bacon, Stanley Bacon, Dian Dixon, Alonza Bacon, Keith Bacon, Darlene Ward, Charlene Barrett and Lee Antony Baker; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at First African Missionary Baptist Church, Jones. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Dorchester Funeral Home of Midway was in charge of arrangements.
