From Paskenta
On Friday last, death, cruel death, visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bacon and carred {sic} away the husband and father, leaving an aged wife and four children to mourn their loss. A kind and loving husband and indulgent father has gone, after a lingering illness from paralysis. He bore his sufferings with true Christian patience. All that was mortal was laid to rest in the Paskenta cemetery Monday. - Transcribed by E.
