Payson Man Succumbs In Hospital

Payson-Bruce Badham, 66, died Thursday in the Payson City Hospital of natural causes.

He was born in Jan. 18, 1903 in Payson, a son of Henry and Anna Dean Badham. He married Verla Thurgood on July 18, 1934 in Provo.

A veteran of World War II, he had served in the U. S. Army. He received his education in the Payson City Schools and was a member of the LDS Church.

Mr. Badham was a past president of the Payson Lions Club. He had been employed at Keigley Quarry for 22 years, before retiring about three years ago.

Survivors include his widow, Payson; a daughter, Mrs. Sally Christensen, Sandy; two grandchildren; three brothers and a sister, John Badham, Payson; Paul Badham, Provo; Dean Badham, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Fay Linton, South Gate, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Park LDS Second Ward in Payson, with Bishop Vernell Evans officiating. Friends may call at the Keith Jolley Mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday prior to services. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery with military rites to be accorded by Payson American Legion Post 48.
