Napa Girl, 10, Ill Week, Dies In S. F. Hospital

Diane Badham Townsend, 10-year-old Napa girl, a student in the fifth grade at the Shearer school died yesterday in St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, were she had been confined since last Monday.

She was the daughter of the late June Townsend Badham, who died in an automobile accident several years ago, and was the adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Townsend of Napa.

A brother, Donald Townsend of Napa survives, and she was the niece of Ralph Townsend, and Alice McElheran of Napa, Irene Townsend of Los Angeles, Ernest Townsend of Richmond, aid Charles Townsend of Sacramento.

She was a cousin of Joane Townsend of Richmond, Robert Townsend and Terry McElheran of Napa.

The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock at the Treadway Garden Chapel, and a requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. John's Catholic Church at 10 a. m. tomorrow, the cortege leaving the chapel at 9;45 o'clock. Burial will follow in Tulocay cemetery.
